Download the RootHide Bootstrap for TrollStore.

RootHide’s Bootstrap is a breakthrough tool that allows users to use jailbreak customisations and apps flawlessly even without a jailbroken environment. This revolutionary solution works with a wide range of current iDevices (A8 to A17, including M1 and M2 processors) running iOS 14 to 17.0. It is required to install The Bootstrap by RootHide alongside TrollStore or TrollStore 2.

Bootstrap was made available as an IPA package, which can be downloaded and imported into TrollStore 2. Alternatively, choose the direct Install option to have the software downloaded automatically from TrollStore. This functionality requires you to enable the URL Scheme in the TrollStore Settings.

RootHide’s Bootstrap allows users to add adjustments to almost any programme, however it does not presently provide springboard tweaks, which affect the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Control Centre, or Status Bar. Nonetheless, you can install apps and jailbreak tweaks meant for system apps, which offer configurability directly from the Settings app.

When you launch the Bootstrap app, pick “Bootstrap” to start the installation of needed apps and files. It allows you to merge several sources into Sileo or Zebra and makes it easier to implement changes. It’s worth mentioning that some adjustments may need to be adjusted to work with Bootstrap.

By default, changes are not injected into any programmes. To enable tweak injection, go to the “AppEnabler” section of the Bootstrap app. You can toggle on the exact apps where you want to activate your customisations. It’s worth noting that injection into the SpringBoard or Photos apps is presently not supported.

Not every change is compatible with RootHide’s Bootstrap. A ‘Not Updated’ warning indicates that the change requires an update to be compatible with Bootstrap. To address this, install the Patcher using the Sileo or Zebra package managers, which are compatible with RootHide Bootstrap.

Sileo is a contemporary Package Manager for iOS 12 – iOS 17 that lets you search and install jailbreak packages (apps, tweaks, and themes) from various repositories. It’s intended to be an easy-to-use alternative to Cydia, with a clean and intuitive UI.

Warning: The Bootstrap Repo is now public, so anyone can build and test it. A public IPA will not be available until the UI has been integrated and fixed for iOS 17.0 on A15+.

When attempting to install a tweak, choose ‘Convert.’ Select the Patcher app from the sharing sheet that appears. When converting a modification to be Bootstrap-compatible, you have the option of directly converting simple tweaks or using the rootless compact layer. If a change does not convert smoothly using the direct technique, consider using the rootless compact layer. This approach requires that rootless-compat be installed as a dependency.

RootHide Bootstrap’s most recent release includes numerous updates that address a variety of difficulties to provide a more seamless experience. Notably, the bootstrapping issue on the M2 iPad iOS 17.0 has been effectively rectified.

Furthermore, the update resolves an issue in which the app had difficulty being injected or crashed when launched from the home screen search bar. This enhancement enables smooth and consistent application performance.

A fresh injection mechanism has been implemented to improve support for customisations, including jailbreak detection bypass adjustments. Tweaks are now compatible with and may be activated for the iOS Shortcuts app, expanding their usefulness.

The release adds the ability to run Theos on the device, making it easier to create and install customisations with proper functionality. Users can now install and use customisations more easily and efficiently. To address potential corruption concerns with Sileo/Zebra, a button has been provided to reload the package management separately.

Furthermore, users may now click a button to reload the icon cache, which can help when difficulties persist after deactivating modifications for specific system apps.

Improvements include optimising the app list presentation and sorting for greater user clarity. The most recent version includes various detailed optimisations and bug fixes, resulting in a more polished and stable user experience overall.

RootHide Bootstrap has addressed a number of important bugs, improving overall performance and user experience. One notable change addresses a glitch on the home screen and reduces device overheating when used in conjunction with Serotonin. This update improves the user experience by making it smoother and more stable.

Version 1.2 also includes a fix for a potential Sileo crash on specific devices, which addresses stability concerns. Another notable enhancement is the resolution of code(255) issues that occurred while activating customisations for specific programmes. This update eliminates functionality discontinuities, allowing users to have a more seamless experience.

Furthermore, the update fixes the erroneous home directory path for jailbroken apps, restoring functionality to its proper condition. Additionally, an issue that could cause dpkg data corruption during deb package installation has been successfully rectified.

The update also addresses issues where Shortcuts, Spotlight, and MobileMail did not function properly following tweak injection, resulting in a more dependable user experience. In terms of convenience, a new “Reset Mobile User Password” button has been introduced to the app settings, giving users more control over their mobile credentials.

Lastly, RootHide Bootstrap has updated the built-in Zebra to version 1.1.36-1 and Sileo to version 2.5-12. These updates ensure that customers receive the most recent enhancements and functionality, resulting in a more secure and efficient jailbreaking experience.

While Bootstrap proves versatile for enhancing various apps, it currently lacks support for SpringBoard tweaks, including those for the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Control Center, and StatusBar. When attempting to install a tweak, users may encounter a message stating “Not Updated,” signaling the need for an update to make the tweak Bootstrap-compatible.

To streamline the process, consider installing the Patcher through Sileo. When installing a tweak, simply select “Convert”. In the ensuing share sheet, choose the Patcher app. This conversion tool provides the option to directly adapt simple tweaks or utilize the rootless compat layer. If direct conversion fails, experiment with the rootless compat layer as an alternative solution. Note that installing rootless-compat is necessary as a dependency for this method.
