ChargeLimiter keeps your battery fresh, chewy.
Optimising your iPhone’s charging process can dramatically reduce battery wear and increase its longevity. Using ChargeLimiter is an efficient approach to protect your smartphone from extended overcharging, which is known to harm battery health over time. Notably, ChargeLimiter now supports TrollStore, which eliminates the need for jailbreaking and provides a way to manage your iPhone’s charging habits.
ChargeLimiter is available as a TIPA package, which may be downloaded and imported into TrollStore 2. Alternatively, choose the direct Install option to have the software downloaded automatically from TrollStore. This functionality requires you to enable the URL Scheme in the TrollStore Settings. ChargeLimiter is also available for download as arm and arm64 DEB packages.
ChargeLimiter is an iOS application based on the AlDente idea that aims to reduce the negative effects of extended overcharging on iPhone batteries. This tool is compatible with both rootful and rootless jailbreaks, and it provides extensive battery protection.
Furthermore, a specialised version of ChargeLimiter has been released exclusively for TrollStore-compatible smartphones running iOS 14, iOS 15, iOS 16, and iOS 17.0.
After installation, the ChargeLimiter app easily incorporates a dedicated icon on your Home Screen, enabling easy access to its setup pane, which contains a variety of options.
It now supports iOS 12 to iOS 17, depending on the greatest version supported by TrollStore/Jailbreak. Please keep in mind that compatibility may be limited to iOS versions higher than 12, due to the limitations of my development environment and iDevices.
ChargeLimiter is available as an open-source project under the GPL-3.0 licence. The source code is available through the official GitHub repository. The project is managed by lich4 and Oliver Tzeng. ChargeLimiter was primarily written in Objective-C++, JavaScript, and HTML.
ChargeLimiter has two different modes: “Plug and Charge” and “Edge Trigger”. The former ensures that when you insert the adaptor, your iDevice begins charging immediately and stops when it reaches the specified maximum capacity barrier. Individual users benefit from this functionality because it streamlines the charging procedure and increases battery longevity.
On the other side, “Edge Trigger” is intended for developers and studios. This mode stops charging when the battery capacity exceeds a predetermined maximum threshold. Charging restarts only when the battery capacity drops below the chosen minimum level. This sophisticated control system optimises battery management, catering specifically to long-term device usage and development situations.
Recent research has shown that keeping battery capacity between 20% and 80% and temperature between 10°C and 35°C results in optimal battery performance. at reflect these findings, ChargeLimiter’s default threshold is set at 20/80.
ChargeLimiter provides a thorough overview of important battery information. It provides real-time information such as current capacity, health status, temperature in degrees Celsius, charging status, battery presence, cycle count, design capacity in milliampere-hours (mAh), nominal charge capacity, hardware capacity, instant amperage in milliamperes (mA), boot voltage in volts (V), voltage, and serial number.
The app features a floating window that displays the current battery level, temperature, and ChargeLimiter version. ChargeLimiter’s 1.4 update added support for a draggable floating window, allowing users to adjust its visibility with a simple tap. It also includes a feature that starts charging when the temperature exceeds a user-defined threshold.
One of ChargeLimiter’s most useful features is the option to accelerate charging. This function allows you to rapidly engage Aeroplane Mode, Power Mode, turn off Bluetooth, and reduce brightness for best charging outcomes.
ChargeLimiter may only be installed on your device via the TrollStore or TrollStore 2 IPA installers. When utilising other tools such as Sideloadly, AltStore, Bullfrog Assistant, and Esign, you will not be able to utilise all of the application’s functionality.
Note: If the ChargeLimiter daemon is stopped for any reason (such as a system or userspace reboot), ChargeLimiter will become inactive because it lacks the ability to automatically restart the daemon.
Step 1: Install TrollStore on iOS using the How to Install TrollStore 2 instructions.
Step 2: Download ChargeLimiter TIPA using the link at the top of this page.
Step 3: Open TrollStore 2 from your Home Screen.
Step 4: Import ChargeLimiter TIPA into TrollStore 2.
Step 5: Proceed with the installation process.
Step 6: Open the Settings app and go to Privacy & Security.
Step 7. In the Security section, select Developer Mode.
Step 8: Enable Developer Mode and restart your device.
Step 9: Connect your iPhone to a PC or Mac and enable developer mode.
Step 10: Open ChargeLimiter from the Home Screen.
Tipa files are essentially IPAs with changed extensions. TrollStore recognises these files specifically, and they are often incompatible with standard IPA installs.
The ChargeLimiter modification was made available through the Havoc Store. Add the ChargeLimiter Repository to enable amperage limit mode for batteries that have weak amperage control capabilities. The tweak only supports iPhones.
To install ChargeLimiter for free on iOS 16 or 15, follow these steps:
TrollRecorder is one of the most effective call recording tools for TrollStore. Its fundamental features, which were initially made available as an open-source project, remain freely available to all users. Individuals can acquire a premium licence.
Project Sandcastle allows users to run Android and Linux on iPhones by putting the operating system into RAMDisk. However, this necessitates completing a number of special requirements. UTM, a virtualization app for iOS, allows users to run…
Helium is a tool from leminlimez that introduces a unique feature for TrollStore devices. This tool integrates widgets directly into the Status Bar in iOS versions 15 to 17. What’s amazing about this feature is that it doesn’t require jailbreaking…
