AppIndex is an app management and backup tool for iOS apps.
Serena has introduced a free solution that allows users to easily manage, analyse, and backup iOS programmes from their devices. The utility also generates IPA files from installed apps, which may be used to back up software that Apple may remove from the App Store.
AppIndex was made available as an IPA package, which can be downloaded and imported into TrollStore 2. Alternatively, choose the direct Install option to have the software downloaded automatically from TrollStore. This functionality requires you to enable the URL Scheme in the TrollStore Settings.
AppIndex is a modern App Explorer and Manager that allows you to easily backup and restore your choice iOS app data. This mobile software is specifically built for jailbroken smartphones, and a separate TIPA bundle is available for TrollStore. Whether you use a conventional or rootless jailbreak, the AppIndex programme supports iOS 13 through iOS 16.
After installing AppIndex on your smartphone, whether jailbroken or not, you’ll be able to access it from the Home Screen. When you activate the app, it will display a full list of both stock and third-party applications that can be handled. The list can be filtered by kind, genre, seller, and alphabetical order to help you locate the right software.
Furthermore, there is a handy search box at the top of the app that allows you to quickly find any software you’re looking for by name or bundle ID. App data can be backed up and restored using the iCloud service. AppIndex can also export a specified application as a decrypted IPA bundle. This capability works with both stock and third-party apps.
AppIndex makes it easier than ever to manage your app’s data. Furthermore, AppIndex is a useful resource for learning more about apps. There is also an option to view an app’s active entitlements and registered URL Schemes.
AppIndex provides a variety of information about each app, including the bundle identification, kind, download date, app version, and SDK version used to build it. AppIndex also includes iTunes metadata, such as vendor, genre, and age rating.
You can also see the minimum iOS version required, the application size (bundle size, document size, group container size), and the app’s current status (for example, deletable, beta, containerised, or restricted). Furthermore, you may view detailed information about the app, such as if it supports iTunes File Sharing and whether it was downloaded from the App Store.
You may also view entitlements, registered URL schemes, usage descriptions for privacy prompts (e.g., the text that appears when an app requests access to your Photos library/Camera), transport security exceptions, and bundle/(group) container(s) paths.
AppIndex is an open-source project, with all files accessible for download from the Serena GitHub Repository. The app’s source code was mostly written in Swift, with minor bits in Objective-C, and can be assembled using a simple script that generates an IPA file for TrollStore and a DEB package for jailbroken devices.
Alternatively, you can use the Apps Manager tool. It is the most effective approach to erase, backup, and restore AppData for installed apps on iOS devices. Use this programme to move AppData (saves, settings, and data) across devices without using iTunes or iCloud backup. There is also BFdecrypt rootless, which supports Fugu15 Max, XinaA15, and DumpDecrypter.
AppIndex is also available as a TIPA package, which can be installed on all TrollStore-compatible devices running iOS 14 and 15. Unlike other IPA installers, TrollStore allows you to permanently sign the programme and grant it access to certain restricted portions of the iOS system. You cannot install the AppIndex IPA with other IPA installers that use free or developer certificates to sign programmes.
